About Us

Found on the Adige River in Northeast Italy, the town of Verona is renowned for its stunning architecture, romantic stories, and artistic heritage. Each year, multitudes of visitors arrive in the ancient city; some fall in love under Juliet’s Balcony, others to live in the past at the Verona Arena, but everyone comes to experience the food. At the city’s informal trattorias, you can find food that is honest and spirited and distinctly Verona. Generations of families, pairs of lovers, and groups of friends gather not only for a meal but for the pure enjoyment that an evening of exceptional food, memorable conversation, and togetherness brings.

With our thoughtfully chosen menu and locally sourced ingredients, Bar Verona strives to deliver cuisine that is fresh and uncomplicated, yet unique and refined; honest and spirited food and drinks that our nearby neighbors and out-of-town guests will remember about us as delicious and will want to bring their loved ones back to experience for themselves. Bar Verona is also a peanut, tree nut, and sesame free kitchen.

So, linger over lunch with your friends, flirt over one more glass of wine at dinner, or host a private event with us, because you’re in Verona and it’s time to vivi la bella vita.

Executive Chef
Lindsey Connelly

Lindsey began her journey to Executive Chef in the front of the house. For over 20 years, she has worked in every position in the restaurant business but always found her way back to the kitchen. Her love of hospitality and creativity started behind the bar creating craft cocktail recipes and menus. The art of transforming ingredients through technique and experience, effortlessly translated to the kitchen. Lindsey is a self-taught chef whose love of food began at a young age watching cooking shows and helping in the kitchen at home. Exploring different cuisines from around the world has become a passion. She strives for an eclectic range of knowledge that is indeed indefinite. She looks forward to creating a memorable dining experience for you with each dish she creates.

Lindsey resides in Washington Township with her wife, Ashley, and was raised in neighboring Shelby Township. An avid sports fan and animal lover, Lindsey enjoys spending her spare time on the golf course or at home with her cats Kovu, Vern, Dutch and Duke. She and her wife love to travel and are always looking for the most unique restaurants anywhere they can.
